Model Contempo Archtop

Your Major 17" cutaway

The Contempo Model archtop draws its inspiration from the great archtop guitars of the mid-20th Century with some decidedly 21st Century additions. The Lehmann archtop is constructed as a solo style guitar or as a rhythm  style instrument. The solo style has an “X” braced top that tends to make the tone sweet and lyrical. The parallel braced rhythm style guitar provides the punch and centered tone for improved projection. Both models are fitted with ebony tailpieces and pickguards.

  • Curly maple sides, back and neck

  • AAA grade spruce soundboard

  • Ebony fingerboard, bridge, tailpiece and pickguard

  • Multi-laminate plastic body bindings

  • Pearl dot position marker inlays

  • Nickel- or chrome-plated Schaller tuners

  • Antique amber finish

  • Hard shell case

      Model Session & Express
16" Archtops

Designed for comfort & speed

The Session is a fully 21st Century guitar designed for comfort and speed. The side depth is ¼” less than the Contempo Model, making it extremely comfortable and easy to handle. The arching of the Session has been designed to maximize plate movement and make it sound bigger than its measurements by bringing the arch out to the rim. With the shorter string length of 24.75”, the Session is a gig-meister’s dream!

The Model Express is a 16" wide non-cutaway guitar harkening to an era when a speeding locomotive raced the heart.  It is curvaceous and speaks with a firm voice.  Do I sound like a J. Peterman catalog?  Perhaps if you try the Model Express it could put you on the right track.  Full body, non cutaway guitars have a fuller, richer, better balanced tone than cutaways because of the greater soundboard area and more symmetrical movement of the top.
